Cat Behaviors

By Thomas Proctor

People know that cats are some of the most mysterious animals on
the globe. These felines are hunters, smooth and fast. The
animals are self-sufficient and flexible while also affectionate
and sensitive. Cans can be misunderstood by non-owners, but they
are also carefree pets to others. Some try to understand cat
behaviors
but fail; cats should probably remain a mystery.

Cats are fascinating animals to watch. Their motion and play
recall their feline predator ancestors; their extreme attention
to detail even when appearing bored is the result of thousands
of generations of breeding. Trying to understand cat behaviors
is a mentally stimulating, if sometimes frustrating, task. Cats
generally coexist well with other cats despite their territorial
nature. They are always aware that survival comes first.

Cats quickly determine whether a human can be trusted or not, as
a cat whisperer would say. Cats tend to be
slow to allow people into their personal space. On the other
hand, they have no fear of entering new and unfamiliar places.

House cats are born explorer, they love to travel from one yard
to another, just to see different kind of terrains. The beauty
of it lies in the fact that it can come back to the place it
started. They also have a very strong sense of smell. The moment
your open a can, they come to know about the food from the smell
of it.

Cats are great pets and very low maintenance compared to dogs.
They require a lot less supervision or attention than dogs in
terms of grooming, walking, or needing to go outside. Show them
the litter box and they'll take care of the rest.

Cats that spend most of their time indoors become used to
scratching objects, one of the more important cat behaviors to
consider when adopting or buying a cat. They will tear up your
furniture unless you buy a scratching post or something similar.
Cats generally prefer "cat condos," scratching posts with
additional features, and will return to play there, thus sparing
your other belongings.

A cat can be and indoor or outdoor pet or a combination of both.
A cat will enjoy some time outdoors. They like to do things
outside like watch small animals and birds, and may even try to
catch one. Even though people say a cat has 9 lives, there are
dangers that can hurt a cat. Fast cars on busy streets are
dangerous to cat and could be reason to keep your cat indoors.
