Premature ejaculation
defined as ejaculating before either
partner achieves satisfaction. Premature
ejaculation (PE) means
'coming too quickly'. It occurs
when you ejaculate too quickly
and without control. It occurs before
or shortly after
penetration. If you normally ejaculate
within a few minutes of
penetration (say, after only one
to five minutes).
It's one of the commonest of all
sexual problems. Premature
ejaculation is a problem which plagues
up to 36 million men if
it is defined as ejaculation within
five minutes. However, most
men merely find PE a considerable
irritation - a condition that
makes them 'come' very soon after
they enter their partners
(say, after only one to two minutes),
so that neither party gets
a lot of satisfaction. According
to recent survey o 15% people
world wide suffered from this problem.
It often occurs early in relationships
when sexual excitement,
some anxiety and over stimulation
are common features. It is
also more common in younger men
who are finding out about sexual
activity and sexual relationships
and men of all ages after a
long period without sex. Premature
ejaculation is rarely caused
by any underlying disease, structural
or physical problems.
* Younger men - which is not surprising,
as there's a distinct
tendency for it to improve with
age.
* Men generally get better control
as they grow older.
* However, a 2004 survey in Europe
showed that middle-aged men
still have this problem.
* Finally, there's no question that
anxiety (or 'nerves') plays
a part in many cases of PE. If you're
nervous, you're likely to
come too quickly. That's why many
males have discovered for
themselves that a small amount of
alcohol eases their nerves and
makes them less likely to climax
prematurely. But we wouldn't
recommend alcohol as a treatment!
The following are NOT typically causes
of premature ejaculation:
1. Men are too excited to focus on
bodily sensation.
2. Some men's first experience with
intercourse was in a tense
situation where hurrying was beneficial,
like in a car, and then
learned a bad habit.
3. Being so concerned about performance
they didn't pay
attention to their own sensations.
4. Guilt about enjoying sex or pleasure
of any kind.
5. Worrying about maintaining erections.
6. Unresolved relationship issues.
7. General life stress.
Consequences of Premature Ejaculation
For a man, the premature ejaculation
is very often responsible
of a shame feeling in front of his
partner, a lack of sexual
motivation and a depreciation of
his own image. Without a
treatment, the evolution of PREMATURE
EJACULATION can lead to
psychological impotence, due to
the repeated failure.
For a woman, PREMATURE EJACULATION
of her partner can also lead
to a lack of sexual motivation,
anorgasmia and can evolve to
secondary frigidity.
For a couple, the evolution can lead
to the breach of emotional,
sensual and erotic communication,
which generally leads to the
separation of the two partners.
Premature Ejaculation Can Ruin a
Relationship. Premature
ejaculation interferes with the
sexual pleasure of both you and
your partner. Premature ejaculation
will cause stress in even
the healthiest relationship It causes
feelings of guilt,
embarrassment, frustration, and
depression.
And in severe cases PE can threaten
or even ruin a marriage -
simply because it spoils the sex
lives of both partners.
Sometimes, the condition is so bad
that the man cannot even
manage to have intercourse because
he invariably ejaculates
before he can get into the vagina.
This can be devastating for a
man's self-confidence. And it can
be hugely frustrating and
annoying for his partner, too.
